May 14th, Thai Buffalo Conservation Day

May 14 is designated as Thai Buffalo Conservation Day because it is an important animal in agriculture that has been with Thailand since the past. However, at present, the new generation is less interested. Fortunately, in Lamphun Province, there are villagers who have set up a Thai Buffalo Conservation Center to raise and care for the next generation. Every day, more than 120 Lamphun buffaloes from the Thai Buffalo Conservation Center in Tambon Tha Tum, Amphoe Pa Sang, Lamphun Province are released from their confined pens to graze, in a free-range manner to allow the buffaloes to relax and stay healthy.
